After eating the clementine fruit, collect and wash the peels thoroughly.
Boil peels in a pot with 500ml of water at medium heat for 10 mins (once the water starts boiling).
Either drain the water or keep in a glass jar to be used for other biomaterial experiments.
Dab dry the peels
Using a pair of scissors, start cutting the peels in small pieces
Keep them in a small bowl to be fully dried, usually takes 2-3 days.
Once the peels have fully dried you can use them in a recipe.
Combine all dry ingredients and glycerol together and mix well in the saucepan.
Turn on the stove with heat at medium. Slowly pour water in small intervals.
Continue stirring until the mixture turns whitish and thickens like a paste.
Turn off the stove and set the saucepan aside.
Place a tray with parchment paper (or mould) on a heat-proof surface.
Carefully scoop up the mixture with a spoon and spread it on your tray in a shape or mould.
Once cooled, place in a well-ventilated area. Leave to air dry.
